Assembly Speaker Vincent Prieto and Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco will visit the site of a massive 2015 borough fire today at noon to announce new fire safety legislation.
The two officials are expected to reveal a bill that will address fire safety at multi-unit dwellings both during and after construction. They will be joined by the bill’s co-sponsors — Angelica Jimenez, Tim Eustace and Joe Lagan — in the General Assembly, and Edgewater Mayor Michael McPartland.
